Gwinnett Commercial Group, LLC, Lawrenceville, Georgia, has signed a letter of intent to acquire Buford Banking Group, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, Buford shareholders would receive 0.284 shares of Gwinnett common stock for each Buford common share. Buford Banking Group, Inc. is the holding company for Lanier Community Bank which operates one office in Buford, GA. The parties anticipate closing the transaction in the fourth quarter of 2005. The Carson Medlin Company is serving as financial advisor to Buford Banking Group in this transaction.
